A Brief introduction to the Club

The club is located within the idyllic rural settings of Woodhall Spa, at the center of Lincolnshire. Based in the delightful setting of Jubilee Park the club shares the many facilities, boasting a fully stock café, toilets as well as a refurbished  play area for children and hosting many other sports, Cricket, Bowls and Tennis to watch or try, it makes an ideal venue for not only the players but friends and family who may wish to make it a day out.

The members are a friendly group of likeminded people who come together, not only for the competition of play, but for the camaraderie that comes with meeting others and belonging to the club. Players ability ranges in strength and experience, from complete beginners, to formidable champions.

After an uncertainty history, the club now has three dedicated half size lawns with a pitch side pavilion all sited in an area of the park, which are secured by a 30-year lease, ensuring the Club’s future and stability until 2045.

Our general Golf croquet playing days are Tuesday, Friday and Sunday 2 to 4 pm and Association croquet is played Thursday 2 to 4 pm. These are two very different types of croquet, try both; you might prefer one to the other.

Membership is open to anyone interested in croquet and for those interested in taking up the sport, the club normally holds taster sessions in May, enabling the public to sample without buying.

Each season, the Club runs a range of internal competitions, including a Fun Day and hosts a number of invitation open tournaments, which are very popular with surrounding clubs.

As a member the Club currently has two teams in the Federation of East Midlands Croquet Clubs  leagues, whilst others of its members take part in other club’s competitions

Although relatively small, the Club is a member of croquet’s national governing body, the Croquet Association and is run and controlled by their rules
